#009 — Saving VenezuelaPosted: April 12, 2019
The economic crisis in Venezuela has created devastation and chaos, with the IMF projecting inflation rates hitting 10 million percent in 2019. The currency is so worthless that they no longer count it–they weigh it. In Venezuela today, a one-pound package of dry pasta costs a whole week’s wages. We have the unique opportunity to save people’s lives while politically ‘flipping’ a corrupt Communist government in our hemisphere with a legitimately-elected proponent of democracy in Juan Guaido. With a chance to do the right thing while strengthening our hand in the Western Hemisphere, could this crisis provide the impetus to create bipartisan legislation that breaks the American political logjam?
